We The Jury...
So, I was called to jury today for the first time. At first I was dreading my "call of duty", but it was actually a great learning experience. It was kind of like watching a movie. There were tears, yelling, "I object your honor!", odd turns in the case, etc. However, during the excitement of it all, I found myself thinking of the meaning of justice and judgement. I pondered questions like, "What does justice really mean to me?" and "Do I have the right to determine someone else's fate?" I really think every person should have the chance to serve on a jury at some point in their lifetime. It really is a neat/unique experience.
